Subject: Branding and Marketing to Increase Profits

Speech Abstract: “A study by McGraw-Hill of both the 1974/75 and 1981/82 recessions confirmed the long-range advantage of keeping a strong advertising presence. It found that companies that cut advertising in 1981/82 increased sales by only 19% between 1980 and 1985, while companies that continued to advertise in 1981/82 enjoyed a 275% sales increase.”

Do your prospects know who you are? If so, do they care? Have you given them a reason to? As an organization, your message about who you are and what you do must be clear. If you're in business, you have a brand whether you realize it or not. An unpolished brand can erode your image in the marketplace. A well-developed brand can earn you money—lots of it.

Here we will discuss the branding and marketing challenges that face all organizations. What are you doing to instill more confidence and reach more people? Matt Schoenherr, of Dreamscape Multimedia, provides you with a wealth of tips on branding and marketing your efforts.

Speaker: Matt Schoenherr

Bio: With over 15 years of national experience providing marketing, training, and web design services, Matt Schoenherr began Dreamscape Multimedia in 2001. Matt focuses on helping entrepreneurs and non-profits understand the challenges they face in today’s tough marketplace and how to succeed in their marketing efforts. He has spoken on a number of topics, including the invisible brand, e-mail marketing, great web design, and improving outreach efforts.

As Matt has helped organizations improve their marketability and profitability over the years, he has discovered an underlying theme with his clients; the widespread and dire need to reach more people. In 2006, Dreamscape Multimedia developed the REM Lab (REM, the acronym for Real Experience Marketing), a web-based subscription service for the small business and non-profit community. The REM Lab's goal was to assist businesses and non-profits with the magic of marketing—the creative ideas—and intended to do this in a way that was affordable for anyone who knows they need help. In 2008, the system evolved into the Dreamscape Multimedia Idea Center and became open to everyone.

Covering the full spectrum between non-profit and for-profit, including work in the government sector, Matt has worked with organizations such as the BMW Car Club of America, the State of Michigan, and the International Organization on Computer Evidence (an affiliate of the FBI.)
